A number of cities are to host tempting events for those interested in heritage tramway operations this year.
The Belgian city of Antwerp is to repeat its heritage tramway event with an expanded programme for 2017, including operation every Sunday during July and August (timetables to be announced) worked mostly by former Vicinal Standard 9994.
Italy’s Rittnerbahn (Ferrovia del Renon) will also set the stage for a series of events to mark its 110th anniversary, with a jubilee day on 13 August when most hetiage rolling stock is likely to make an appearance.
Over in Zürich, the heritage programme extends over the entire season, celebrating the tenth year of the Burgwies Museum and the 50th anniversary of Tram-Museum Zürich. The main anniversary event is to be held on 3 June, while 21 May will see a unique tram parade spanning horse trams through to the low-floor Cobra.
