The two-line tramway in Jiaxing (Zhejiang province, China), is to be operated and maintained by the new Shenjia joint venture of Shanghai Keolis and the city for five years. The 15.6km (9.7-mile) system is due to open in July 2021.

Shanghai Keolis will assume day-to-day management, including the recruitment of 200 employees, such as drivers, technicians and support staff.

The catenary-free network will serve 26 stops, including Jiaxing regional railway station and Jiaxing South for high-speed rail connections. CRRC is delivering 20 supercapacitor-equipped trams; 50 000 passengers/day are expected to be carried.

A third line is planned to open in 2023, adding 20km (12.4 miles) and 55 stops; a further 25 trams will be required.
