‘Public transport is OK’

On 14 September, Netherlands public transport industry body OV-NL launched its ‘Public transport is OK’ campaign to encourage a return to tram, bus and rail services.

On 14 September, Netherlands public transport industry body OV-NL launched its ‘Public transport is OK’ campaign to encourage a return to tram, bus and rail services which saw a 90% fall in patronage during the nation’s coronavirus lockdown.

The three-month campaign covers television, radio and social media and is designed to inform travellers about the safety measures operators are taking to inspire confidence in public transport. Ridership across the country is currently between 50% and 60% of its pre-pandemic levels.
