Three options for the extension of the Silom Line metro extension, in Bangkok, Thailand, were announced on 3 March by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
Option 1 is a 7km (4.3-mile), six-station route along Ratchaphruek Road; while option 2 would head 10km (6.2 miles) west along Phran Nok-Phutthamonthon Sai 4, stopping at eight stations. The third option would be 8km (5 miles) with six stations, and head west-bound along Boromratchonnanee Road.
Construction could begin in 2019 for opening in 2020. The project estimate is THB10bn (EUR0.3bn).
